Star Wars Oddities You May Have Never Noticed

Luke, I Am Your Father

Star Wars

Everybody knows the iconic line from Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back: “Luke, I am your father.” Unfortunately, it’s not what the former Anakin Skywalker actually said. Vader tells Luke, “Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father.” Luke responds, “He told me enough! He told me you killed him!” Vader then says, “No. I am your father.” But the misremembered line has endured, thanks to a generation of fans, much like “Beam me up, Scotty” was never uttered in any episode of Star Trek (“Scotty, beam us up” being the closest).
